    All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) was set-up in November 1945 as a national level Apex Advisory Body to conduct survey on the facilities on technical education and to promote development in the country in a coordinated and integrated manner. And to ensure the same, as stipulated in, the National Policy of Education (1986), AICTE be vested with statutory authority for planning, formulation and maintenance of norms and standards, quality assurance through accreditation, funding in priority areas, monitoring and evaluation, maintaining parity of certification and awards and ensuring coordinated and integrated development and management of technical education in the country.

    The purview of AICTE (the Council) covers programmes of technical education including training and research in Engineering, Technology, Architecture, Town Planning, Management, Pharmacy, Applied Arts and Crafts, Hotel Management and Catering Technology etc. at different levels.
    AICTE works on the following Objectives:

    • Promotion of Quality in Technical Education.
    • Planning and Co-ordinated Development of Technical Education System.
    • Regulations and maintenance of Norms and Standards.

    CSDMS

    With an aim to use ICT innovatively, CSDMS – a Non Governmental Organisation (NGO) located at Noida, Uttar Pradesh, India, has been actively involved in the field of development research since 1997, and is continuously striving towards achieving greater heights through a wide spectrum of research activities in the space of ICT4D (Information and Communication Technology for Development). The organisation aims to achieve its mandate of using ICT for development not only through the new advanced communication technology media, but also through traditional medium like print. The aim is to reach out to more and more people from all walks of life and to transform them into more aware citizens with the power of information.

    Adopting a demand driven, collaborative and comprehensive approach, CSDMS believes in working with multiple partners and consultants to mutually share knowledge.     DGET

    The Directorate General of Employment & Training (DGE&T) in Ministry of Labour is the apex organisation for development and coordination at National level for the programmes relating to vocational training including Women’s Vocational Training and Employment Services. Employment service is operated through a countrywide network of Employment Exchanges. Industrial Training Institutes are under the administrative and financial control of State Governments or Union Territory Administrations. DGE&T also operates Vocational Training Schemes in some of the specialised areas through field institutes under its direct control. Development of these programmes at national level, particularly in the area concerning common policies, common standards and procedures, training of instructors and trade testing is the responsibility of the DGE&T. But, day-to-day administration of employment Exchanges and Industrial Training Institutes rests with the State Governments/ Union Territories Administrations.The responsibilities are distributed between Central Govt., State Govts and Industry.

    NIAS

    The National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS) was conceived and established by the vision and initiative of the late Mr. J. R. D. Tata.He sought to create an institution which would conduct advanced research in multidisciplinary areas, and also serve as a forum that will bring together administrators and managers from industry and government, leaders in public affairs, eminent individuals in different walks of life, and the academic community in the natural & social sciences, and the arts & humanities.

    Presently Dr. V. S. Ramamurthy is the Director.The current aims of NIAS are to integrate the findings of scholarship in the natural and social sciences as well as technology,  the humanities and arts through multi-disciplinary research on the complex issues that face Indian and global society, and to assist in the creation of new leadership with broad horizons in all sectors of society by disseminating the conclusions of such research through appropriate publications and courses as well as through dialogues with leaders and the public.

    NCERT

    The National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT) is an apex resource organization set up by the Government of India, with headquarters at New Delhi, to assist and advise the Central and State Governments on academic matters related to school education. It was established in the year 1961.

    The main objective of NCERT is to promote, plan, coordinate and guide in the field of school education. The NCERT provides academic and technical support for improvement of school education through its various constituents.

    Functions of NCERT includes ResearchDevelopmentTraining, Extension, Publication and Dissemination and Exchange Programmes. The NCERT also drafts, publishes and recommends school text books (from Class I to Class XII) of various subjects based on the recommendations of knowledgeable faculty in the subject.

    KVS

    The KENDRIYA VIDYALAYA SANGATHAN is a premier organization in India administering1087 schools as on 01.11.2011 known as ”Kendriya Vidyalayas” with 10,58,450 students as on 31.03.2011 and 49,286 employees (including outsourced)on rolls as on 01.07.2011.
    Since inception in 1965, the Kendriya Vidyalayas (Central Schools) have come to be known as centres of excellence in the field of secondary and senior secondary education serving the OBJECTIVES:

    1.To cater to the educational needs of the children of transferable Central Government employees including Defence and Para-Military personnel by providing a common programme of education;
