World Education Summit 2012

  • After the successful culmination  of World Education Summit, 2011, we are proud to announce the 2nd Edition of the World Education Summit (WES) 2012, the world’s premier platform on education thought leadership. Being jointly organised by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Centre for Science, Development and Media Studies (www.csdms.in) and Elets Technomedia Pvt. Ltd. (www.elets.in) between 23-24 July 2012 in New Delhi. The Summit is being co-organised by Directorate General of Employment and Training (DGET), Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India; and National Institute of Advanced Studies (NIAS)National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS). The event will witness the largest gathering of education leaders from across the globe.

    Objectives of the Summit:

    • To bring together top leadership in the field of education to assess learning in the 21st century and debate trends in school, higher and skill education across the globe
    • To highlight innovations and best practices in education and provide a platform for disseminating the practices
    • To deliberate and share common experiences and challenges in the implementation of education policies and reforms
    • To assess technology practices and trends in education and their role in promoting education
    • To address the role of teachers in meeting learners’ diverse expectations and needs


    Components of the WES

    The Summit will focus on the education sector and the challenges and opportunities in this field. Key thematic areas will include higher education, school education, vocational and skill training and open and distance learning.

    The event will be marked by conferences, exhibitions, workshops and an award ceremony. It will provide a wonderful opportunity to stakeholders in the field of education, all over the world, to create opportunities of progress at all levels – international, national, regional and local.
