Dr. Mangesh G. Korgaonker, the Director General of the Institute is an eminent academician with several years of prior academic experience at such national Institutes like IIM Ahmedabad, IIT Bombay, wide work and consulting experience in industry and work in other institutes in India and abroad. He has been professor at IIMA; ICICI Chair Professor and Head, Shailesh J Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay; Director, Kirloskar Institute of Advanced Management Studies, Harihar; Professor and Advisor, S P Jain Institute of Management and Research; Advisor and Group Executive, Bharat Heavy Earth Movers Ltd; Visiting Professor, Asian Institute of Technology, Bangkok. Besides a large number of publications in national and international journals, he has consulted for industrial and government organizations.

He has conducted a very large number of executive development programmes for executives from India and abroad from public and private sector organizations and government departments. He is represented on governing councils/academic councils/senate/advisory boards of several institutions. He has been recipient of scholastic and other awards. He has over 38 years of experience in education. He has carried out assignments for government agencies including AICTE, National Board of Accreditation (NBA), UPSC, and Planning Commission. He has functioned as Chairman, State Technical Education Council of Goa. Thus he brings with him a wealth of expertise, experience and abilities in his current position.
