Richard Stals

Richard Stals is an influential education technology leader with 20 years of experience in leveraging advances in technology to drive innovative and integrated solutions in schools and Universities. Richard combines his passion for education, and the power it has to transform and improve the lives of individuals and entire communities, with his love for technology to drive whole-of-organization solutions in technology-enhanced learning and teaching.

In addition to working for Blackboard, a global education technology company, he is a PhD candidate researching Indigenous Education at Edith Cowan University and is the Vice Chair for Collective Hope Community Services, a disability services charity in Australia.

When he isn’t experimenting with the latest learning technology, Richard can be found enjoying time with his wife and two daughters or restoring and programming his collection of 1980s-era computers.
