Lalita Trehan

Montessori Educator and Trainer, United States & India

Mrs. Lalita Trehan is a renowned Montessorian, teacher and teacher trainer in the United States and India. She has been an educator for over 40 years, and during this time, has served is many capacities. She has a B.Sc. in Home Economics from Lady Irwin College, University of Delhi, New Delhi. In 1978, she received her pre-primary Montessori Certification from the Meca Seton Montessori academy in Chicago, Illinois and in 1989, her Lower and Upper Elementary certification from the Houston Montessori Center in Houston, Texas. In 1993, she became a teacher trainer at the Houston Montessori Center. In her own words, “I am a children’s advocate and I feel very strongly that we have the power to make a difference and help underprivileged children through our collective efforts.” Mrs. Trehan is Founder Director of American Montessori School (Houston, 1986), Sugar Creek Montessori School (Stafford, 1994), Cambridge Montessori School (Sugar Land, 1997), DAV Montessori Houston (2000), and Sugar Creek Montessori School-Katy (2007).
