Recognising this never ending contribution of all the teachers in this world, digitalLEARNING, Asia and Middle East’s premier magazine on Innovations in Education, has initiated “Teachers Glory Awards (K12)” from this year. The awards will be given to the school teachers who have made an impact in the lives of the students or who have contributed in some way to make our surroundings a better place to live by adopting latest innovations or best global practices.

Ways to Nominate

Self Nomination:

Teachers can nominate themselves for the award in any of the categories. Only single self-nomination is valid per category. Although, he can nominate for multiple categories.

Nominate your Teacher:

Submit the proposal of your teacher, who according to you has driven the cause of education and match up to the expectations of particular award category. It can be submitted by school management, co- teachers, students, former students and parents. Multiple nominations are allowed.

Award Criteria

  • In case of self nomination, a teacher must have an experience of over 5 years.
  • If nominated by others, an experience of 3 years is mandatory.
  • Teachers must have spend at least 20 hours a week while teaching.
  • Teacher Glory Awards are open to all teachers from across the globe irrespective of their schools, subject to local laws.

Outstanding Digital Educator

Teachers who have made innovative use of digital tools and technologies while teaching the students in the classroom.

Excellence in Special Needs Teaching

Teachers, who have excelled in terms of fulfilling educational requirements of students with special needs – resulting from learning difficulties, physical disability, or emotional and behavioural difficulties.

Outstanding Teacher

An individual who, within a short span of being appointed at the teacher’s position, has shown tremendous potential in terms of driving the cause of education and holistic development of children.

Headteacher in a Secondary School

The person who has contributed tremendously towards academic achievement of its pupils and the management of its staff, as the headteacher in a secondary school.

Excellence in Online Teaching

An individual who has performed extraordinarily well in adopting online as the medium of teaching to deliver education lessons to students in specific subject areas, prepare lesson plans and coordinating schedules while monitoring students’ skills and achievement.

Excellence in Instructional Leadership

Individuals who have excelled in carrying out the role of an instructional leader by fulfilling the responsibilities in terms of setting clear goals, managing curriculum, monitoring lesson plans, allocating resources and evaluating teachers regularly to promote student learning and growth.

Outstanding Lecturer

Lecturers who, with their extraordinary teaching method, helped in motivating and shaping the career interests while teaching academic or vocational subjects to the higher secondary students. Teaching methods include lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical demonstrations, field work and e-learning.

Headteacher in a Primary School

Individual who has shown extraordinary brilliance in handling responsibilities such as education of all pupils, management of staff, and school policy making, as the head teacher in a primary school.

Teacher in a Primary School

A teacher at a primary school who has emerged as an all-rounder in terms of imparting quality education, uplifting students’ performance, setting teaching standards, adopting innovative teaching technology, and working towards enhancing school’s name and reputation.

Teacher in a Secondary School

A teacher at a secondary school who has emerged as an all-rounder in terms of imparting quality education, uplifting students’ performance, setting teaching standards, adopting innovative teaching technology, and working towards enhancing school’s name and reputation.
