Prof Katta Narasimha Reddy, Vice Chancellor, Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad, Telangana he earned his Doctorate from Osmania University (Hyderabad). He received training in Script writing and Film Direction from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune and Advanced training in Microprocessors and Digital Electronics from Indian Institute of Science (IISC) Bangalore.He is a life member of many professional bodies and Fellow of World Innovation foundation, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Academies of Science. Presently he is the elected President of Telangana Academy of Sciences, Hyderabad (India). He was the Vice President and Hon. Secretary of Andhra Pradesh academy of Sciences. He has authored over 105 scientific papers and three review articles in International journals and books on Technology and Higher Education. He has been actively involved in advancing the research activity at Osmania University and Mahatma Gandhi University. He was also coordinator of UGC-Special Assistance Program, and Department of Science and Technology (Govt. of India) Funding programs at Osmania University. Prof. Reddy has been associated as Chairman of several teams of peer committees constituted by National Assessment and Accreditation Council(NAAC), India's premier quality assurance agency for Higher Education. He has participated in several National level meetings on Bench-Marking of Higher Education Institutions. He participated actively in the activities of Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Prior to the present assignment, he served as the Vice chancellor of Mahatma Gandhi University (Nalgonda) and Palamuru University (Mahabubnagar), in the state of Telangana.

Professor Basuthkar Jagadeeshwar Rao, Senior Professor, Chair of Biology, Dean-Faculty, at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, has taken charge as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Hyderabad (UoH) on 26th July 2021. Prior to the IISER posting, Prof. BJ Rao was Senior Professor and Chair-Biology for several years at TIFR, Mumbai and successfully headed the programmes of Mechanism of Genome Dynamics and Cellular Adaptations Laboratory at TIFR. His areas of specialization are molecular basis of genome dynamics, computational biology of genomes and protein active sites, cellular physiology and metabolism – fields in which he has made fundamental contributions. Apart from his research in the domain of biology, he is also interested in dissemination of scientific knowledge and outreach activities. He has to his credit 181 publications with 3041 citations. Prof. Rao, born on March 13, 1956, awarded National Science Talent Award (NCERT) with 16th rank in India, 1st in AP (then United AP), graduated with a BSc from Nizam College and an MSc from Osmania University, Hyderabad, winning University Gold Medals in both. He then obtained his PhD from Indian Institute of Sciences, Bangalore, in the domain of Biochemistry. He then went on to do his postdoctoral work at Yale Medical School, serving as a research scientist for seven years. On his return to India, he worked at TIFR for several years.

Received the prestigious Dewang Mehta National Award for “Best Teacher in Human Resource Management” in November 2009. Teaching and Research experience of 33 years (13 years as full-fledged Professor). Worked as the Finance Officer of Mangalore University for 3 ½ years. Worked as Registrar (Evaluation) of Mangalore University for 2 years 9 months. Served as the Registrar of Mangalore University for 3 years 2 months. Total academic administrative experience of 9 years 7 months in different statutory positions. Member coordinator of peer team, National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), Bengaluru.
